Screw Compressor
Oil-Injected Screw Compressor:
In an oil-injected screw compressor, oil is injected into the compression chamber where it mixes with the compressed gas (such as air). After exiting the compression chamber, this mixture is separated from the compressed gas in a separator. The compressed gas, after cooling and filtration within the compression chamber, is returned.
An oil-injected screw compressor is beneficial for applications where the presence of small amounts of oil in the compressed air is acceptable. However, for applications sensitive to oil content, the use of micro-filter separators is essential. In such cases, operators of oil-injected screw compressors must pay close attention to maintaining the cleanliness of the oil separator filters.
One of the advantages of an oil-injected screw compressor is that the output pressure is not significantly dependent on the molecular weight of the compressed gas. Therefore, it can operate relatively consistently in applications where the composition of the compressed gas varies.
The presence of oil in the compressor enhances its efficiency and pressure capabilities. Additionally, due to its lower operating temperature (around 80 degrees Celsius), the lifespan of compressor components is significantly extended.
For applications where the presence of minute amounts of oil in the compressed air is not critical, the use of this type of compressor is recommended. However, in applications requiring high air quality, regular replacement and maintenance of filters are necessary to ensure optimal performance.

Air Handling Unit
The air handling unit is the main component of various types of air compressors, including piston-cylinder and screw compressors, also known as reciprocating compressors. Its primary function is to draw ambient air, compress it, and ultimately store this compressed air in the compressor tank.
Arman Havasazan offers air compressor units in the following two main types:
- Reciprocating Piston Air Compressor
- Screw Air Compressor
The part of the compressor responsible for air intake and compression is called the air handling unit or airend. It is essentially the heart of the compressor system, where the energy is supplied directly or via belt coupling from an electric motor, diesel engine, or gasoline engine.
